(Sturgeon Electric) has provided comprehensive electrical construction services to clients throughout the western U.S. Sturgeon Electric has two divisions, offering both power line construction and commercial/industrial electrical construction, making it a full service electrical provider.
Sturgeon Electrics power line, or Transmission and Distribution (T&D) construction division provides a full-range of capabilities related to transmission, distribution and substation construction.
**Overview:**
The position of the District Manager includes overseeing all district activities and personnel associated with each district office.
**Essential Functions:**
* Oversee the successful development, planning, execution, monitoring and controlling, and close out of projects
* Provide supervision and mentorship to a variety level of employees to include office/administrative staff, operations managers, estimators, construction managers, and safety personnel
* Accountable for district financials, planning, business development, and project forecasts
* Accountable for organizational safety expectations are met and are within company and industry compliance
* Understand and comply with the Companys Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other industry-specific professional and ethical conduct standards, if applicable
**Job Requirements**
**Qualifications**:
* 5 years or more of experience combined as an Estimator and Project Manager within the electrical construction industry
* 5 years or more of experience in a management role
* 5 years or more experience working within operations and including P&L responsibility
* Prior experience working within the utilities and or electrical construction industry
* Prior experience with account management and account development
* Prior experience building client base and maintaining client base for future projects
* Excellent communication skills to include oral and written
* Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain rapport
* Excellent organizational and time management skills
* BS in Construction Management or Civil Engineering
