Sr. Staff IT Data Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Data Architect and Engineer, Senior Staff to join our IT Data Services team. As a key leader, you will be instrumental in shaping and implementing robust data architecture that align with our organizational objectives. This role will support multiple business functions includes Sales & Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, HR and other corporate functions. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of data modeling, data platforms and data engineering, with a proven track record of successfully leading complex data initiatives. Candidates should be passionate about driving innovation, ensuring data integrity, and providing technical expertise in a collaborative environment.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective solutions
Design and implement robust data architectures that align with the organizations strategic goals
Lead cross-functional efforts to understand complex data related architectures and create a strategic plan to modernize
Lead the development and maintenance of data models, ensuring scalability, performance and security
Oversee the implementation of data governance and quality standards to ensure data accuracy and reliability
Provide technical leadership in the evaluation and selection of data management tools and technologies
Lead efforts in data engineering, integration, migration and transformation initiatives
Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development
Conduct autonomous research, learning and testing of new IT technology to develop new processes, applications, or solutions, and presents detailed demonstrations or proof of concepts to peers and senior leaders across business units
Collaborate with enterprise stakeholders to support best-practices, conventions and strategic goals
Communicates within and outside of project team to resolve conflicts in implementation schedules, design challenges, and other complexities
Basic Candidates will have: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or MIS
AWS Platform & Related Data Services (Other cloud platforms a plus)
12+ years’ experience delivering data related projects including data discovery, design, modeling, data management
8+ years hands on data engineering experience
Programing (Python, SQL, NoSQL, Spark)
Data Management & Visualization (Tableau, QlikView, etc)
Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies
Strong sense of ownership and growth mindset
Curiosity about the problem domain and an analytical approach
Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to conduct meetings and make professional presentations, and to explain complex concepts and technical material to non-technical users
Strong influence skills to drive business adoption and change
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or MIS
AWS Certified
Experience implementing Data Catalogs and Data Governance
Certified in SAFe Agile
Ability to lead use case development and document potential business value
