Operations Manager

FireFlyHR is looking for an Operations Manager in the Denver, Colorado area. This is a hands-on, leadership role managing a team of five people and reporting to the COO. The specific duties include formulating strategy, improving performance, procuring materials, and resources and securing compliance. You should be ready to mentor your team members, find ways to increase the quality of customer service and implement best practices across all levels. We will trust and rely on you to help both companies remain compliant, efficient and profitable.
Responsibilities
Ensure all operations are executed appropriately.
Improve operational management processes and best practices
Manage inventory levels in coordination with sales forecasts, and production planning and oversee warehouse efficiencies.
Formulate strategic and operational objectives.
Manage quality controls and monitor production KPIs.
Examine financial data and use it to improve profitability, manufacturing efficiencies, and margins.
Manage department budget, and identify and analyze cost and profit centers.
Manage and maintain product information within the company data filing system.
Supply Chain
Establish and manage intracompany best practices and processes from the development stage to commercial production of consumer-packaged food products.
Manage product specifications, ingredients, packaging, labeling and compliance.
Plan and manage production schedules, materials and packaging as necessary for manufacturing and customer deliveries with consideration to shelf-life requirements.
Work with brand owners to prepare and transmit product information regarding new products, changes and discontinuations to sales team and customers.
Work with suppliers and manufacturers to establish continuous quality improvement programs.
Relationship Support
Assist in developing strategic supplier relationships and networks capable of meeting current and future business requirements.
Establish and maintain relationships with manufacturers, suppliers, and customers to facilitate and improve customer and administration satisfaction.
Work with suppliers, customers, and internal staff to identify service, quality and cost-impacting issues for continuous improvement.
Manage relationship with suppliers and manufacturers, good working relationship, visit production facilities as necessary to implement and maintain production standards.
Customer Service
Lead and manage the customer service team.
Improve customer service experience, create engaged customers and facilitate organic growth.
Take ownership of customers issues and follow problems through to resolution.
Set a clear mission and deploy strategies focused on that mission.
Develop service procedures, policies and standards to ensure accurate and timely order processing and delivery to customers.
Keep accurate records and document customer service actions and discussions.
Analyze statistics and compile accurate reports.
Recruit, mentor and develop customer service staff and nurture an environment where they can excel through encouragement and empowerment.
Keep ahead of industry’s developments and apply best practices to areas of improvement.
Control resources and utilize assets to achieve qualitative and quantitative targets.
Maintain an orderly workflow according to priorities
Manage quality claims and deliver claim resolutions to improve the product, enhance the company’s and customer’s satisfaction.

Proven work experience as Operations Manager or similar role.
Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management.
Experience budgeting and forecasting.
Familiarity with business and financial principles.
Excellent communication skills.
Spanish language a plus.
Leadership ability.
Outstanding organizational skills.
Degree in Business, Operations Management or related field a plus.
