Ellie Tulsa Oklahoma - Clinic Director Job Description

Be a part of a national movement to end the stigma, fill the gaps and bring greater innovation to mental health.

About Ellie

Ellie Mental Health is a highly successful mental health multi-clinic organization based in Minnesota. Ellie clinics are structured to remove many of the daily obstacles that get in the way of providing world-class mental health services. Ellie makes the clinician’s experience the best it can be; providing excellent compensation, benefits, training, and flexible schedules while also providing centralized administrative, technology, referral and inquiry support, scheduling, client/therapist matching, billing and collections, and even CEU programs. Ellie strives to lower the administrative aspects of providing care to the absolute minimum, so our practitioners have more time to focus on what they love - serving clients! We want our people to be happy because happy therapists do better work and provide better client care! Other clinics may have some similar approaches to these things, but Ellie has found the way to do it all and is bringing our innovative approach to the nation.

Who we are looking for

We are seeking a passionate and unique Clinical Director to partner with us in bringing Ellie to Tulsa, Oklahoma. The perfect candidate is a unique, fun-loving and authentic leader who has always dreamed of running a successful practice, will share our passion for improving and expanding access to quality mental health care in Tennessee, and will thrive in building a culture that emphasizes flexibility, creativity, authenticity, humor, compassion, acceptance and determination.

This includes hiring and recruiting fantastic, unique, and fun-loving clinicians, managing clinic performance and client satisfaction, providing training and ongoing developmental support, meeting fiscal goals, marketing clinical services and building community partnerships and referrals.

The Clinic Director will also have the flexibility to manage their own caseload at a comfortable level.

Position requirements

The Clinical Director will have a master’s degree in a behavioral health sciences or related field from an accredited college or university and be fully licensed mental health professional (i.e., LPC, CLPC, LMFT, LCSW, etc.) in Oklahoma for at least 2 years (Supervisor recognition preferred).

Desired experience, skills and abilities include:

Supervising or program development/leadership is ideal

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

Ability to work in a high-paced and changing environment

Proficient with Microsoft 365 applications, including Office Suite, Outlook, and Teams

Adept at learning and navigating Electronic Health Record systems

A great sense of humor won’t hurt - we love to laugh!

Responsibilities will include, but are absolutely, definitely and in no possible way limited to:

Providing training, staff development, and administrative oversight to support the overall health of the clinic including conducting regular consultations with the clinic owner to implement strategies for fiscal and clinical efficiency and to identify opportunities to improve client care, quality, and effectiveness

Hiring, onboarding, training, supervising, and managing clinic therapists according to Ellie standards, including handling PTO requests, expense reimbursements, CEU requests, mediating issues and concerns, managing clinic office schedules, reviewing productivity, caseload, and clinical documentation, implementing performance coaching, performance improvement plans, supervision plans, conducting annual performance reviews and handing termination processes

Providing timely response to concerns raised by clients, clinicians, or external stakeholders

Implementing Ellie policies and procedures, including updating clinicians of changes related to Ellie clinical operations (i.e., policy changes, HR regulations, IT systems, EHR requirements and best practices, workflows, clinic updates, compliance expectations, etc.)

Collaborating with Ellie Community Outreach and marketing teams to identify needs and promote clinic visibility

Maintaining a clinical caseload.

The Clinic Director will be an active leader in the business and will be compensated with a base salary, plus a split of collections from caseload, plus performance bonuses.

Independent franchisees are Equal Opportunity employers committed to diverse and inclusive workforces. Franchisees are independent business people and not employed by Ellie Family Services, PLLP, d/b/a “Ellie Mental Health”, Ellie MSO, LLC, or Ellie FAM LLC. Thus, each franchisee and each franchisee clinic is unique and the franchisee is alone responsible for all employment matters in their clinic, including the terms and conditions of employment for their employees, such as hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing and scheduling. Depending on the clinic location you select, the job for which you apply may be in a clinic owned and operated by an independent franchisee, and not with the corporate-owned clinics, which are based in Minnesota. This means the franchisee, not Ellie Family Services, PLLP, is responsible for all employment matters at the clinic. If you are hired for the job, the franchisee will be your employer, not Ellie Family Services, PLLP or any of its affiliated entities. For franchisee clinic locations, please contact the franchisee organization directly to the extent you need assistance in completing forms or otherwise participating in that franchisee’s application process.

Applicants with disabilities may be entitled to reasonable accommodation under the terms of the Americans with Disabilities Act and certain state or local laws. A reasonable accommodation is a change or adjustment to a job or work environment that will ensure an equal employment opportunity without imposing an undue hardship on the operation of the business.
