ABOUT THE ROLE: The CambridgeCommunity School Division is seeking an experienced program leader whois knowledgeable in youth development, experienced in supervising staff,developing curriculum, and has strong, effective communication skills.The Community School Director will be responsible for the oversight ofprograms, and supervision of the Program Director, Instructors, andProgram participants. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage andoversee afterschool program and a full-day summer camp program. Ensureyouth programs meet high-quality standards. Develop and lead events forchildren and families. Recruit, hire, supervise, and evaluateafterschool Instructors/Specialists and summer program staff. Evaluateprograms and maintain all records necessary to assess program quality.Publicize daily programs/activities with guidance from the DHSPCommunications Manager. Collaborate with the DHSP Lottery Team to manageenrollment. Work collaboratively with the Inclusion Initiative in thedevelopment, implementation, and management of inclusionary practices.Work collaboratively with the Agenda for Children Initiative to developbest practices and improve program quality. Manage budgets and revenuefor the program. Provide regular fiscal reports and maintain accuraterecords. Manage facilities used for all programs/activities includingresponsibility for building supervision and security. Develop outreachand maintain close communication and collaboration with school Principaland staff, neighborhood organizations, and service providers to ensureaccess to programs for children. Work with families and the schoolcommunity to actively promote the program. Participate in Director?smeetings, program development meetings, and division meetings. Plan andlead a once-per-month staff meeting outside of program hours.Participate in ongoing professional development training to enhanceprogram practices and quality. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education and Experience: Minimum ofthree year\'s experience developing and implementing programs forchildren and families in a community-based setting. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Excellentorganizational and administrative skills required. Excellent oral andwritten communication skills.
