Ideal Candidate
The Estimator is responsible for all aspects of estimating the most complex and large-scale jobs, including pre-construction, hard bids, negotiated bids, budgets, general conditions, systems studies and comparisons, value engineering, subcontractor relations and staying abreast of industry developments applicable to estimating. Must have Commercial Experience and Public Works experience is a plus.
Position Responsibilities: Supporting our Preconstruction Team
Prepares detailed quantity surveys and conceptual cost estimates from the early conceptual phase through construction plans
Prepares variance summaries between estimates
Prepares budgets
Oversees subcontracting process, prepares detailed bid package estimates by trade, and assists with the preconstruction team to develop written bid packages.
Prepares an in-house budget and GMP
Prepares quantity take-offs and applies unit pricing for material and labor to establish a value for the work.
Understand the full scope of the project through document review and asking questions of the design team and owner.
Manages Subcontractor solicitations & selection process.

Education and Experience: 5 + years of experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and/or
Master's degree in and/or Construction Management /Civil Engineering desirable
Proven Analytical skills in problem-solving, quality focus investigative skills in process improvement.
Understanding of the principles of Construction Management,
Knowledge of Technology Programs, Timberline, On-Screen Take-Off, and Excel
Proficient in relevant computer applications
