Job Summary
The Credit Analyst is responsible for evaluating creditworthiness and providing credit recommendations for existing and prospective clients through analysis of financial data and assessment of risk factors.
Primary Objectives Meticulous analysis of financial data, risk factors, and collateral value.
Accurate and well documented recommendations for credit decisions.
Effective communication between applicants, business units, and management teams.
Compliance with applicable regulations and policies.
Duties and Responsibilities Evaluate financial statements, credit reports, and other financial documents to assess the creditworthiness of applicants.
Review income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and financial ratios to assess the financial health of customers.
Identify recent payment trends, anomalies, and potential risks in financial data.
Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer needs and tailor credit recommendations accordingly.
Assess the level of risk associated with extending credit to individuals or businesses based on financial analysis and market conditions.
Evaluate collateral, if applicable, to determine its value and its potential to mitigate credit risk.
Consider industry trends, economic factors, and regulatory changes that may impact credit risk.
Make recommendations regarding credit decisions, including approving, denying, or modifying applications based on established criteria and risk tolerance.
Communicate credit decisions effectively to stakeholders.
Document credit decisions and maintain accurate records of credit evaluations.
Collaborate with Treasurer, business development, and other stakeholders to gather information and ensure that credit decisions align with organizational goals and policies.
Communicate with applicants to gather additional information, clarify financial data, and address any concerns or questions.
Build and maintain relationships with clients, providing support and guidance throughout the credit evaluation process.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry standards related to credit analysis and lending practices.
Stay updated on changes in regulations, industry best practices, and emerging trends in credit analysis.
Other duties as assigned.

Education Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field or equivalent combination of coursework and experience in directly-related field required
Work Experience 3+ years' related credit analysis experience required
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Demonstrated knowledge of corporate credit analysis and communications.
Ability to build analytical reports from credit data and effectively communicate findings.
Strong quantitative and analytical thinking skills.
Strong problem solving and multi-tasking skills with a high degree of attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize tasks to complete deliverable items within required timeframes.
Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products at the following levels: ? Excel: Advanced level of skill ? PowerPoint: Intermediate Level of skill ? Word, Outlook: Intermediate level of skill

Zone 1 : Starting rate $36.00; up to $50.00 for highly qualified candidates
