Network Support Specialist

American Heritage Credit Union, a $4.7+ billion credit union, has an immediate opening for a Network Support Specialist. This position will act as the primary interface for interactions between the Network team and Operations team in the Information Systems department. Serve as the front line of support and handle escalated matters for both teams. Responsible for troubleshooting software and hardware problems for users.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Serve as the initial point of contact for help desk tickets directed to the Network infrastructure team.
Provide networking assistance to users, including assistance with network connections and passwords, and provide resolutions while taking schedules and deadlines into consideration.
Perform daily network backup maintenance and rotation as needed.
Monitor email security systems and assist with releasing messages.
Maintain network users, user environment, directories, and security.
Set up and maintain phone stations in ADAPT phone system.
Maintain documentation of network configurations.
Assist with patch deployment and updates following established patch management procedures.
Assist with network cabling and hardware installation.
Collaborate with Network Administrators to support the following computing components: (a) PC/LAN servers and workstations; (b) WAN communications links; (c) hot-site hardware/software; (d) office automation software. Assist I.S programming staff with on-site research of production problems and training of supervisory staff on new procedures/software.
Troubleshoot hardware and software problems in a timely manner.
Install appropriate hardware and software within the specified time frame.
Maintain and add to technical knowledge of computer hardware and software to ensure the Credit Union has the ability to achieve its goals as outlined in the current operating plan.
QUALIFICATIONS:
One year to three years of similar or related experience in information systems
Professional, well-developed interpersonal skills essential for servicing members and staff while projecting a positive image as a representative of the Credit Union.
At least one year of experience in an IS Support position.
Work requires knowledge of network administration and data security administration.
Experience with Windows 10 OS and hardware/software support.
Experience with Server 2012 OS and above.
Experience with Virtualization (VMWare) a plus.
Must be able to install, troubleshoot, and support personal computers, network and data communications software and hardware.
Must be available to work evening and Saturday hours as needed.
