Our organization is accountable for program planning, financial budgeting, and project execution and delivery of all electric engineering projects.
Electric Engineering is comprised of approximately 2,000 coworkers.The Electric FERC-CAISO Compliance Team is part of the Electric Compliance department in Electric Engineering, where our vision is that together we create a compliance culture in Electric Engineering and Operations that supports and exceeds safety, reliability, customer, and regulator expectations.
The Electric FERC & CAISO Compliance organization provides functional area compliance oversight, support and monitoring for processes, procedures and controls intended to ensure compliance with the California Independent System Operator (CAISO) and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) regulatory requirements, standards, tariffs, and agreements.
These compliance areas include:FERC Wholesale Distribution Tariff (WDT)FERC Transmission Owner TariffFERC T-Line LicensingCAISO Open Access Transmission TariffCAISO Transmission Control AgreementCAISO Annual Maintenance ReviewAny other new and changing requirements from FERC and CAISO that apply to Electric Engineering and/or Electric Operations.Position SummaryThe Electric Compliance and Risk Consultant will take direction from FERC/CAISO compliance area leads as they partner with electric functional areas across engineering and operations on matters related to FERC and CAISO Compliance.
Primary responsibilities include guidance documentation support, controls assessments and other verification activities, and mitigation plan tracking.Work type: Hybrid (one day a week in office)Work Location: Flexible within service territory, with Rocklin, Oakland, and Sacramento, and Fresno preferredPG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job.
The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.
Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.A reasonable salary range is:Bay Area Minimum: $87,000Bay Area Midpoint: $109,000Bay Area Maximum: $131,000&/ORCalifornia Minimum: $83,000California Midpoint: $104,000California Maximum: $124,000Job ResponsibilitiesCollaborates with the team developing controls and mitigation plans, and monitors implementationPerforms compliance & Control testing, audits, or other validation processes and analyzes risk or compliance metrics.Provide support for responses to regulatory data requests, investigations, audits, and other inquiriesMaps compliance/risk requirements, controls, and mitigations to guidance documents and drafts/revises guidance documentsVerifies reports, audits documentation, and validates content in database/risk registerMay participate in a root cause analysis exercise.QualificationsMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent experience2+ years of relevant experienceDesired QualificationsBachelor's degree1 year of experience in compliance, risk
