**Job Duties and Responsibilities**
We are seeking a motivated **Property Tax Accountant** to join our Indirect tax team. The Property Tax Accountant is responsible for timely preparation and filing of personal property tax returns. They are required to research and interpret property tax laws, policies, and procedures in order to comply with state filing requirements. Substantial daily duties will include processing and data entry of tax bills, notices of valuation, and tax return preparation at the local and state level.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Prepare and file personal property tax returns at the local and state level
+ Timely process property tax bills and payments to taxing authorities
+ Research state and local property tax laws in order to legally minimize property tax liabilities
+ Review and evaluate assessment notices and property tax bills for accuracy
+ Interact and collaborate effectively with other members of the Tax Department, operating divisions, corporate accounting, etc.
+ Special projects as assigned
**Skills, Experience and Requirements**
**Skills and Qualifications:**
+ Broad knowledge of property tax principles and procedures
+ Working knowledge of PTMS or similar property tax software preferred
+ Database management skills, problem solving skills, and excellent communication skills
+ Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, Etc.) preferred
+ Ability to analyze large amounts of complex data
+ Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications
+ Ability to apply creative solutions to complex problems
+ Ability to multitask and think on your feet a must
**Salary Ranges**
Compensation: $63,150.00/Year - $90,000.00/Year

The base pay range provided is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level and competencies. Compensation is also based on the role's location and may change depending on the work location. Candidates must successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check. The posting will be active for a minimum of 3 days and will continue to extend by 3 days until the position is filled.
