Position Overview:
Bulletproof is looking for an experienced Vice President of Marketing . The VP of Marketing reports to the CEO and will be a member of the Company’s leadership team. This role will specifically be responsible for brand marketing, consumer insights, PR, innovation, content creation, and managing Innovation from ideation to commercialization. The focus will be to create a comprehensive brand strategy to deliver profitable growth across all channels including Bulletproof.com, Amazon and Retail. This business leader will be responsible for the strategy and execution of the Marketing Plan and work collaboratively with channel owners to drive bottom line performance. This includes defining the marketing OGSM’s (Objectives, Goals, Strategies and Measures) to deliver profitable growth across our omnichannel business, managing teams, and working collaboratively with channel owners to increase the ROIs of channel specific marketing tactics (Search, Paid Social, DSP and Shopper Marketing). Our strategic initiative is to grow through organic and inorganic means. VP will participate in M&A, brand integration and managing several brand portfolios. Given the stage of growth, this business leader will need to be scrappy and efficient with resources.
Key Responsibilities:
Brand Strategy:
current marketing strategy, operations, processes, people, practices, performance, and metrics.
and lead company-wide brand strategy, communications and campaigns driven from consumer insights across all channels (BP.com, Amazon, Retail). Tactical channel execution will be performed by channel owners.
marketing performance using an OGSM framework (Objectives, Goals, Strategy, Measures).
track, and manage the company marketing budget with a disciplined ROI mindset.
our strategic initiative to grow through organic and inorganic means, VP will participate in M&A, brand integration, and managing several brand portfolios.
Innovation:
product innovation from ideation, rooted in consumer insights, to commercialization.
new product marketing support plans to give the highest probability of success (commercially and financially).
Stage Gate Process from end to end.
the development of 3-5 year innovation pipeline.
Consumer Insights:
consumer insights to develop best in class creative across channels, working with both internal creative team and external agencies.
Category Management for organization.
Operational Marketing:
creative strategy and overall bulletproof creative expression. Establish brand consistency in messaging and imagery across all media and assets.
and lead company-wide PR strategy including brand-level and product-specific activations.
and lead Bulletproof’s execution plans that drive measurable brand lift and sales impact.
& execute brand partnerships (if appropriate).
and execute an influencer marketing strategy (if appropriate).
Bulletproof's brand with target consumer segments in a measurable way.
marketing mix investment to achieve strategic and financial goals.
Collaboration to Drive ROI:
with the VP of Sales to provide marketing support for key retailer’s sales presentations, develop trade advertising, and analyze promotion effectiveness. Provide sales teams with effective marketing tools for use when selling to key customers.
collaboratively with D2C channel owners to increase the ROIs of channel specific marketing tactics (Search, Paid Social, DSP and Shopper Marketing).
to utilize D2C marketing performance metrics to assess performance (ROAS, CAC, LTV, etc.)
Team Development:
grow and retain a team of high performing employees.
as a key member of the bulletproof leadership team, supporting, challenging, and inspiring peers and teams.
role will also include working closely with teams across channels and functions teams to develop, coordinate and execute sales, product, marketing and operations plans.

Qualifications:
years’ experience in marketing in Consumer Packaged Goods.
in Direct-to-Consumer channels like own-website and Amazon. Understands D2C marketing tactics with great proficiency.
ability to build and grow a brand in an omnichannel way.
ability to develop and execute brand strategy and integrated marketing plans with both digital and traditional media.
in portfolio management, understanding the role of each brand, and where brands can be positioned in the shelf/PDP architecture.
experience leading working with teams to translate marketing objectives into functional co-marketing and consumer promotion strategies and tactics.
experience designing and managing outside agency projects, including branding, public relations, and social media.
working closely with sales teams across all major distribution channels; grocery, mass, c-store, club, and drug.
working closely with D2C channel teams (BP.com and Amazon Teams).
knowledge and experience leading qualitative and quantitative market research.
track record of success defining and delivering creative, innovative disruptive ideas to drive long term business results.
to analyze data and convert observations into actions. Analytical capacity to understand data, performance, patterns, and trends.
track record of hiring and developing high performance teams with a passion for mentoring and coaching teams.
Annual base salary gross : $210,000 – $260,000. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary range for this position. The base salary is one component of the total compensation package for employees.
