Job Summary:
The mobile service technician is responsible for performing simple automotive technician services at customers home and/or offices.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, filter changes, certain recalls and software updated remotely at customers offices or homes.
Perform emissions inspections, safety checks and similar state-regulated vehicle examinations.
Produce legible and accurate paperwork reflecting work performed.
Must read, interpret, and transcribe data in order to maintain accurate records.
Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed.
Maintain a clean, safe working environment.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Understanding of automotive systems.
Ability to use the diagnostic equipment and tools including power tools.
Willingness to learn with hands-on training.
Ability to maintain a professional appearance.
Ability to provide friendly customer service.
Education and Experience:
Automotive repair experience or auto mechanic training preferred.
Working knowledge of state inspection guidelines, particularly those concerning emissions and safety, is advantageous.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
ASE certifications preferred.
Physical Requirements:
May lift objects that weigh as much as 50 lbs.
Good hand-eye coordination.
Prolonged periods of standing.
Frequent reaching, bending, squatting, pulling and lifting.
