Orthopedic RN - Part Time

JOB SUMMARY
The Orthopedic Registered Nurse is responsible for providing high quality nursing care to patients under their assigned department. They will plan, implement, evaluate and communicate all patient care activities and document patient care accordingly. The Orthopedic RN will assess patient needs, offer patient and family education about care and work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure proper patient care.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops and implements individualized care plans for patients.
Administers medication and provides appropriate treatments for patients as prescribed by a physician.
Evaluates the patient's response to treatments and medications and makes necessary adjustments
Provides patient and family education and instructions on discharge plans, treatments, and medications.
Collaborates with healthcare team members and physicians to ensure proper patient care.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Florida.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
Prior experience working with orthopedic patients is preferred.
Effective communication skills, both written and oral
Able to work effectively in a team environment
Work schedule: Part-Time, 12-hour shifts.
