Facilities TechnicianOwn the day to day upkeep, safety and functionality of 1X's San Carlos facility, including equipment, systems and workspace, so every team building and shipping NEO has a safe, reliable and fully operational environment to work in every day.Key OutcomesPerforming routine repairs and preventive maintenance across plumbing, carpentry and basic electrical, including changing ballasts and light fixturesCompleting minor plumbing, carpentry and electrical work such as fixing leaks, patching drywall or repairing fixturesConducting facility walkthroughs and safety inspections to catch issues before they become bigger problemsLogging completed work and tracking parts and supplies usedCoordinating with outside vendors or contractors when a repair falls outside scopeKeeping the facility clean, organized and running smoothly day to dayKey CompetenciesHands on with plumbing, carpentry and basic electrical work, including things like changing ballasts, switches and fixturesTakes ownership of the space and doesn't wait to be told something needs fixingStays calm and moves quickly when something breaks and people are counting on a fast fixKnows when to bring in a licensed electrician or specialty contractor rather than going outside their scopeDetail oriented with a strong safety mindsetComfortable working independently and juggling multiple open issues at onceMinimum Requirements2+ years of experience in facilities maintenance or a related trade, with hands-on plumbing and carpentry workComfortable performing basic electrical tasks safely (e.g., replacing ballasts, light fixtures, switches, outlets)High school diploma or equivalentAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (climbing ladders, standing/walking for extended periods)Preferred SkillsExperience working in a manufacturing, lab, or industrial environmentForklift or scissor lift certificationExperience with a CMMS (computerized maintenance management system) or ticketing toolBroader HVAC or mechanical systems exposure beyond core MEP tasksCompensation Range$35.00/hr - $40.00/hrBenefitsComprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverageGenerous paid time off, company holidays, and parental leave401(k) plan with company match (100% on the first 3% of contributions, 50% on the next 2%)Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) and Health Savings Accounts (HSA) optionsCommuter benefits (transit and parking)Short-term and long-term disability, and life insuranceEmployee Assistance Program (EAP) for mental health, financial, and personal supportOnsite snacks and catered lunchesEqual Opportunity Employer1X is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
