Ready to put it to work every day?Increase your chances of an interview by reading the following overview of this role before making an application.Job SummaryWe're hiring a Quality Laboratory Chemist I to join our quality control team in Lancaster, SC. Your work will help us evaluate finished products and raw materials with the accuracy and consistency quality demands. You'll spend your first 30 to 60 days learning our methods, then take on increasingly independent testing and assigned projects as you build proficiency.Schedule: Full-time, fully onsite, second shift. Monday through Thursday, 3:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.; Friday, 1:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.What You'll DoPerform release, stability, and special-request testing of finished-product and raw-material samples using SOPs, in-house procedures, and applicable compendial methods.Put your HPLC skills to work and train on other instruments as needed, including GC, titrators, FTIR, UV/Vis, and dissolution equipment.Record results, prepare reports, review colleagues' work, and support out-of-specification investigations when assigned.Keep testing on track as priorities change while managing assigned projects to their deadlines.Maintain a safety-first laboratory, use properly calibrated equipment, and help train new team members as you gain proficiency.What You'll BringBachelor's degree in Chemistry.At least three years of hands-on quality control laboratory testing experience.Practical HPLC experience and the ability to follow written methods accurately with increasing independence.Experience preparing laboratory reports, peer-reviewing results, and managing projects alongside routine testing.Strong attention to detail, clear communication, and a collaborative approach to solving problems.The ability to meet the physical demands of laboratory work, including extended standing and walking and lifting up to 50 pounds.Experience in a cGMP environment is preferred.
