Cybersecurity Engineer Position Location: Annapolis Junction, MD
Position Type: Direct-hire (full-time)
Clearance: TS/SCI w/ Fullscope Polygraph
Description: Cybersecurity Engineer to support an exciting Computer Network Defense mission.
Responsibilities
Conduct network defense and vulnerability assessment activities
Analyze network traffic, audit logs, and security events
Investigate cyber threats and develop mitigation strategies
Perform packet analysis and support incident response efforts
Produce technical reports and recommendations for government stakeholders
Collaborate with mission teams to improve security posture
Required Qualifications
Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (or CI Poly completed within the last 6 years)
Strong experience with Cisco, Juniper, or Arista network devices
Hands-on experience with Splunk and Elastic
Experience with vulnerability assessments, network security, and cybersecurity analysis
Strong understanding of network protocols and packet analysis
Preferred Skills
Wireshark, tcpdump, or similar network analysis tools
Digital forensics and intrusion detection
MITRE ATT&CK and NIST cybersecurity frameworks
Security scripting (Python, Bash, etc.)
Security certifications such as Security+, CySA+, GCIH, GCIA, GCFA, or CISSP
Familiarity with Network Device Integrity (NDI) methodologies
