About the Role

Step into a crucial position where you will bridge high-level creative vision with meticulous technical execution. As a key contributor, you will translate groundbreaking concepts into stunning, production-ready primary and secondary packaging. This role offers the unique opportunity to balance intricate mechanical design with high-end visual rendering, directly influencing how luxury beauty products are presented to the world and experienced by consumers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Packaging Engineering & Production

    • Develop and finalize press-ready mechanicals, primary and secondary artwork, and complex dielines for a range of luxury cosmetics, including compacts, bottles, and cartons.
    • Collaborate closely with print vendors and packaging suppliers, overseeing proof reviews, refining materials and finishes, and meticulously managing color control to ensure brand consistency.
    • Maintain and organize centralized design asset libraries, including fonts, icons, dielines, and templates, adhering to strict file-naming protocols for efficient workflow.
    • Partner with Product Development and Operations teams to ensure structural feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and manufacturability of all packaging designs.
  • 3D Visualization & Rendering

    • Produce high-fidelity 3D renderings and visual mockups of packaging components, facilitating internal reviews and fostering cross-functional alignment on design concepts.
    • Transform initial 2D sketches and concept briefs into realistic and compelling 3D component visualizations, bringing abstract ideas to tangible form.
    • Conduct thorough competitive research to identify and integrate forward-thinking packaging materials, finishes, and 3D design trends into new concepts, keeping the brand at the forefront of innovation.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Proven experience in packaging design, demonstrated through a robust portfolio showcasing both primary and secondary mechanicals and impressive 3D renderings.
  • Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
  • Expert proficiency in 3D modeling and rendering software.
  • Strong foundation in typography, dieline construction, bleed, registration, and color management.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple SKUs simultaneously, ensuring precision and timely delivery.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Experience within the beauty, cosmetics, or luxury goods industry.
  • Familiarity with Figma.
  • Experience with generative AI design workflows.
  • Proficiency in Mac OS environment.
