Registered Nurse (RN)We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in a fast-paced Stepdown Unit. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, critical thinking abilities, and a positive attitude to provide high-quality care to our patients.Shift InformationShift Type: NightsShift Length: 12 hoursGuaranteed Hours: 36 hours per weekUnit DetailsDepartment: Progressive Care Unit (PCU)Number of Beds: 35Patient Ratios: 1 RN to 4-5 patientsCommon Diagnoses: Adults and geriatrics with conditions including cardiac issues, nephrology problems, strokes, diabetes, and continuous EEG monitoring.Titration Responsibilities: RNs will be required to titrate drips, including medications such as Cardizem, beta-blockers, and seizure medications.Nurse Aids/Patient Care Techs: Present with ratios of 1:10 or 2:20.QualificationsExperience Required: Minimum of 2 years as a Registered Nurse.Required Certifications: ACLS (AHA)BLS (AHA)NIHSSWork EnvironmentThis is a fast-paced environment where attributes such as effective communication skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities are essential for success.
