This candidate will possess C++ skills and be energetic, creative and team oriented to work on SATCOM products used in secure communications networks. The individual will be part of an engineering team that develops server-side software using latest tool chains from Atlassian in an agile software development environment. The position is based in our Gaithersburg, Maryland office.ResponsibilitiesSoftware design, development, integration and support activitiesActively participate in software development and automated unit testingComplete development tasks within agreed timeboxAnalyze and resolve software issuesRequirementsBS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field5+ years of software design and development experience in C++ and automated unit testing5+ years of experience with scripting languages (e.g. Python) and source control systems (e.g. Bitbucket)2+ years of experience of network protocols, messaging libraries and socket programmingMust be capable of obtaining and holding a U.S. government security clearancePreferred QualificationsMS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related fieldGood written and verbal communication skillsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to work on-site 5 days per weekNo work from home permittedProficient in Multi-threaded application development and inter-process communicationHands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker containersAbility to multi-task and work collaboratively within a team environmentExperience of agile development framework (e.g.
