• **STATEWIDE TRAVEL REQUIRED** As a contractor the selected candidate will have to use their own vehicle; state vehicles are not permitted to be driven by contractors.

NCDIT-Transportation (NCDIT-T) Infrastructure Team is seeking a Cloud Engineer - Expert that will support the ongoing DMV NCMAX Cloud infrastructure build.

The primary focus is to help NCDIT-T understand the architecture and be a bridge between NCDIT-T and the vendors with their knowledge of Cloud infrastructure networking, storage and security.

The complexity of these responsibilities are essential to NCDIT-T to support the building of the Azure tenant from scratch so that DMV systems can be placed in the cloud. NCDIT-T and DMV have an aggressive schedule to get this done to support the DMV modernization efforts.

Role/Responsibilities:

- responsible for designing and developing software solutions for cloud-based operating systems

- builds and maintains infrastructure as code (IaC) using DevOps methodology and versioning with a descriptive model to define and deploy infrastructure, such as networks, virtual machines, load balancers, and connection topologies.

- providing a reliable and scalable platform for developers to build and deploy applications

- responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the cloud network infrastructure including the deployment and configuration of cloud-based network solutions to ensure high performance, reliability, and security
