To support a federal regulatory submission platform, the full-time Oracle Database Administrator will manage the design, security, backup, recovery, and performance of the Oracle database environment while collaborating with government data center and cloud engineering teams, all in a remote work setting. Key responsibilities Administer and maintain the Oracle database environment, including user administration and monitoring backups and recoveries Conduct biannual performance tuning and evaluate custom application code for database performance impact Develop and execute database upgrade and migration plans, while supporting enhancements and maintaining documentation Required qualifications Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience 8+ years of database administration experience, including 5+ years with Oracle databases in a production environment Current database administrator certification, preferably Oracle Database certification Hands-on experience with Oracle Database 19c or later, including backup, recovery, and performance tuning Experience operating databases in a cloud or managed relational database service environment
