Construction Surveillance Technician (CST) II

Construction Surveillance Technician (CST) II

Location:

Kirtland AFB, NM

Clearance required:

must obtain an Interim Secret clearance to start, and be willing and able to obtain up to a TS/SCI with Counterintelligence polygraph

Role Summary:

The Construction Surveillance Technicians’ primary function is to provide day-to-day security in support of Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) & Special Access Program Facility (SAPF) construction efforts.

Performance shall include:

  • Assesses, identifies, and communicates recommendations for improvements of policies, procedures, or systems
  • Identifies threats, vulnerabilities, and potential risks
  • Drafts security incident reports and briefs government and civilian agencies including military senior leaders
  • Manages uniformed escort personnel and associated logs; assigns, trains, briefs site security duties and ensures timely reporting of security incidents to site lead
  • Follow and enforce customers Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
  • Perform miscellaneous administrative support functions as directed by the contractor site lead and/or the Senior Security Representative
  • Shall conduct inspections of materials being delivered for utilization in construction of secure spaces
  • Will photograph and continuously monitor the construction of secure spaces and document all steps in order to support final accreditation packets
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and oversight of team members

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of related experience
  • Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) counts towards 3 years of experience
  • Special Program Security Certification (SPSC) counts towards 5 years of experience
  • Maximum equivalent experience for SPED Certifications is no more than 5 years

Desired Experience:

  • Knowledgeable on Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705 (on SCIFs and compliance with uniform IC physical and technical security requirements)

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree is desired and counts towards 4 years of experience
  • Associates degree counts towards 2 years of experience

Certifications:

  • Must complete the DoD SAPCO approved SAPNP training (if performing personnel security functions)

Security Clearance:

  • Current clearance as defined in the Task Order: must obtain an Interim Secret clearance to start, and be willing and able to obtain up to a TS/SCI with Counterintelligence polygraph

Other Requirements:

  • Complete additional safety training and/or certification as required by local site (i.e., OSHA 10 Construction Safety, OSHA Fall Protection and OSHA Confined Space) within the first 30 days of hire.
  • Must obtain CDSE STEPP ICD 705 Physical Security Construction Requirements for SAP course completion within the first 30 days of hire
