Software Developer 2(With Power BI and SQL BI Expertise)The Software Developer involves contributing to the organizing, planning, and managing of a large, complex reporting environment, and performing project technical requirements, design, development and testing tasks similar to those performed by the rest of the development team.Position ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with technical team members and customers in order to translate user requirements from both internal and external clients into functional capability.Perform project technical requirements; design, development, and testing tasks for fixed and analytic reports.Develop static and dynamic reports from a three-tier client-server application that uses a web server, application server, and SQL database engine architecture.Write scripts and modify Microsoft Visual Studio methodology templates to provide customization of check-in policies, custom reports, and repetitive testing.Create and modify existing reports and dashboards using the Power BI Desktop tool.Troubleshoot and communicate report interoperability problems in existing web-driven applications using SQL as the backend for data access.Develop customer focused BI analytics solutions.Develop presentation layers in concert with customer requirements and best practices and approaches.Act as a point of contact and oversee technical schedule segments to ensure project milestones are completed on time by escalating issues to the team lead and project manager if necessary.Provide issue resolution in coordination with the team lead and project manager.Position RequirementsEducation & Corresponding ExperienceBachelor of Science in Information/Computer Technology or a related technical discipline is preferred.3 years of Information Technology experience is required with a Bachelor's degree in a specified degree.5 years of Information Technology experience is required without a degree or an applicable degree.Required Technical Skills & ExperienceDemonstrated experience with the following is required:Power BI Server and desktop toolMicrosoft Visual Studio 2019, 2022 and SQL Server Data Tools (SSDT)Microsoft SQL Server 2016, 2022 or laterSQL Reporting Services 2012, 2016, and 2022Scripting (VB scripting/Java Scripting, and Powershell)Report Design / Information/database Design SkillsPreferred Skills & ExperienceMicrosoft Analysis Services 2008 – 2022Oracle Cloud infrastructure (EPM)Data Modeling/Dimensional Modeling/ER DiagramsWeb design, content layout, ASP.NETHTML backgroundSharePoint design experienceSDS (System Design Specification)Software development coordination with clients and managementMicrosoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD) for Microsoft.NET certification.Everest Consultants offers the following benefits for this position: medical, dental, & vision insurance, short-term disability, life and AD&D insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan, and a referral bonus program, paid sick/vacation/holidays, and a health and welfare fringe benefit.
