About the Role

Crusoe is seeking a talented and driven Mechanical Engineer with 2-5 years of experience to join our dynamic data center construction team. This role will be instrumental in ensuring the successful implementation and operation of our mechanical systems within our cutting‑edge data centers. You will work closely with project managers, contractors, and other engineers to oversee the design, development, installation, testing, and commissioning of piping, HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.

What You’ll Be Working On

Conceptual Design and Analytical Modeling

Develop analytical models for water and energy consumption

Develop equipment layouts and flow diagrams for central utility plants

Prepare equipment bid packages, specs, and review submittals

Review and select mechanical equipment

Design Review and Coordination

Review and interpret mechanical design drawings and specifications.

Coordinate with architects, electrical engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems.

Provide technical input and recommendations for design modifications as needed.

Construction Review

Monitor the installation of piping, HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems to ensure compliance with design specifications and industry standards.

Conduct site visits to track progress, identify potential issues, and resolve conflicts.

Ensure adherence to safety regulations and quality control procedures.

Testing and Commissioning

Analyze test data and identify areas for optimization.

Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical system issues during commissioning.

Vendor and Contractor Management

Assist in the management of vendor relationships.

Review submitted shop drawings.

Answer RFI’s.

What You’ll Bring to the Team

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

3-5 years of experience in mechanical systems design and construction, preferably in data centers or similar industrial environments.

Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.

Experience with testing and commissioning procedures.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

Knowledge of building codes and industry standards.

Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) is a plus.

Bonus Points

Experience with data center specific mechanical systems.

Professional Engineer (PE) license, or Engineer in Training (EIT)

Experience with modular construction.

Compensation Range

Compensation will be paid in the range of up to $145,000 -$165,000 + Bonus. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation to be determined by the applicants knowledge, education, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
