Assembler I

Job Description

Assembler

Location: Menlo Park, CA 94025 Pay: $20.00$23.00/hour, paid weekly Schedule: MondayFriday, 6am - 2:30pm Duration: 6-Month Contract, with potential extension

Current Overtime Schedule: Employees are currently working 9- to 10-hour shifts, approximately 4550 hours per week. Some Saturday overtime may also be required.

Overview

The Assembler supports production operations by assembling electronic and mechanical components and subassemblies. This position involves working from visual aids, diagrams, process sheets, and written or verbal instructions while using hand tools, power tools, jigs, and other production equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform repetitive and non-repetitive production assembly operations.
  • Assemble electronic and mechanical components and subassemblies, including modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables.
  • Follow visual aids, method layouts, diagrams, schematics, process flow sheets, and written or verbal assembly instructions.
  • Set up initial layouts and prepare materials for assembly.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, jigs, saws, and other production equipment.
  • Perform continuity checks on work in process and completed assemblies.
  • Conduct quality inspections according to established specifications.
  • Identify assembly or processing defects.
  • Disassemble, modify, rework, and reassemble components as required.
  • Test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications.
  • Follow established production procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Entry-level production or assembly experience is welcome.
  • No previous experience is required.
  • Basic understanding of production-related systems and procedures preferred.
  • Ability to follow written, verbal, and visual work instructions.
  • Ability to use basic hand and power tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work overtime and Saturdays as required.
