Senior Financial Professional

You will be a senior-level financial professional responsible for overseeing the company's accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance with regulations. You will play a crucial role in maintaining a company's financial health.

Duties include:

• Managing accounting records and financial statements
• Ensuring compliance with tax laws and business regulations
• Overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
• Supervising accounting staff and payroll operations
• Implementing financial controls and risk management strategies
• Assisting management with important financial decisions
• Preparing and presenting month end financial statements to senior management
• Supervising staff in preparing financial reports and budgets

Skills include:

• Deep understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance.
• Ability to analyze financial data, forecast trends, and guide business decisions.
• Strong interpersonal skills to manage teams and collaborate across departments.
• Problem-solving & analytical thinking with capacity to identify financial risks and implement solutions.
• Technology proficiency and familiar with financial software, data analytics, and automation tools.
• The ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and management about the finances of the business and justify certain financial recommendations.
• Attention to detail.
• Organization and project management skills a plus

Education/Experience

• Bachelors degree in accounting required
• CPA designation preferred
• Must have 8+ years of hands-on accounting experience
• Experience with multi-company business
• Experience in expanding, fast growing organizations
• Experience with QuickBooks strongly preferred, Great Plains and other accounting software a plus
• Extensive full cycle accounting experience including closing the books and financial statement preparation and analysis required
• Prior Controllership experience
