Sales Engineer

In order to reinforce our growth plans in North America, Marposs Corporation has an opening for a Sales Engineer.

Reporting to the VP of Sales & Marketing, the position will have account responsibility for major machine tool probing and monitoring products/systems manufacturers and distributors in California.

Responsibilities

Sells CNC-related solutions including precision measurement, gauging, and process control equipment, requiring strong knowledge of machining processes, tooling, automation, and manufacturing efficiency.

Calls management representatives, such as engineers, technical personnel, and management at commercial, industrial, and other establishments in an attempt to convince prospective client of desirability and practicability of products offered.

Provides technical advice on company products and services, modifications, applications, design, and other problems.

Prepares sales related reports and provides data for forecasting sales, competition, and market conditions.

Provides survey information on products, competition, and specific topics.

Conducts special promotions on specific products.

What we are looking for

Preferred bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical Engineering.

Previous experience with CNC programming, PLC, and schematics with respect to CNC and Machine Tool Industry preferred.

5-7 years' experience in sales for the Manufacturing Industry.

Excellent sales, interpersonal skills, and presentation skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Problem solver with hands-on experience.

Extensive travel is required.

A good driving record is essential.
