Job Responsibilities

Project Execution and Coordination

Supervise and manage daily construction activities on the job site, ensuring that work is progressing according to the project schedule and specifications.

Monitor and enforce safety protocols and practices to create a secure work environment for all personnel.

Quality Control and Assurance

Inspect workmanship, materials, and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and project specifications.

Address and resolve any quality issues that arise during construction, working collaboratively with subcontractors and team members.

Schedule Management

Develop and manage the project schedule, including sequencing of tasks, resource allocation, and coordination of activities.

Communication and Reporting

Maintain open and effective communication with project managers, clients, and stakeholders regarding project status, challenges, and progress.

Prepare and submit regular progress reports, updates, and documentation as required by project management and clients.

Problem Solving and Issue Resolution

Identify potential challenges and obstacles that may impact construction progress or quality, and devise solutions to mitigate or resolve these issues.

Collaborate with project team members to develop contingency plans and alternatives as needed.

Team Leadership and Development

Lead and supervise construction personnel, ensuring they have clear direction, resources, and support to perform their tasks effectively.

Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to team members, fostering professional growth and skill development.

Regulatory Compliance

Ensure compliance with all applicable building codes, regulations, permits, and legal requirements.

Collaborate with the project team to obtain necessary permits and approvals for construction activities.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Construction Field Superintendent or similar role, demonstrating effective leadership and project management skills.

In-depth knowledge of construction processes, methods, and materials.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic environment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and manage relationships with various stakeholders.

Proficiency in construction management software and tools.

Knowledge of safety regulations and the ability to enforce and promote a culture of safety on the job site.
