Maxima is backed by top-tier investors including Kleiner Perkins and Redpoint Ventures, and we're trusted by category-defining customers like Scale AI and Rippling.Role OverviewAs an AI Engineer at Maxima, you'll work at the intersection of AI systems and product, building agentic workflows that power real-world enterprise accounting automation. This role is not pure research or modeling—you'll focus on turning modern AI capabilities into reliable, production-ready systems used by customers every day.You'll design and iterate on prompts, evaluations, and model interfaces; build and orchestrate agent workflows; and integrate AI components deeply into our product and infrastructure. A core part of the role is ensuring AI-driven systems are reliable and scalable, especially in high-stakes financial workflows.You'll collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering teams to ship end-to-end features, and you'll help shape how AI is developed, tested, and deployed across the company.
