DevOps EngineerLocation: Bethesda, MDCategory: DevOps Travel Required: No Remote Type: No Clearance: TS/SCIAs a DevOps Engineer you will contribute to the design, deployment, and maintenance of a full stack containerized micro services architecture as well as technical systems administration, installation, and configuration. You will participate in fostering a DevOps culture, building strong cross functional collaboration with systems engineering, architecture, development, security, operations, and integration teams, in a dynamic and fast paced environment.You will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team of developers, other software integrator and system administrators on the following key tasks:To deploy, triage and maintain a production big data pipeline using a micro service architecture running on Kubernetes, Elasticsearch back-end, and Kafka messagingEnhance and maintain CI/CD and DevOps scripts and processes including AI-integrated solutions for failure analysis, security and compliance to facilitate faster development, quicker error detection and resilient deploymentsDesign, develop, and support scalable, redundant infrastructure to include physical and virtualized environmentsConfigure Kubernetes (Helm, YAML, etc.) continuous deployments using ArgoCD.Collaborate with System Engineers to design solutions for new features and requirementsProvide technical input to systems engineering documentation and diagrams/models working in coordination/collaboration with SE team members and Architect teamParticipate in Agile release planning, scrum of scrums, bug triage, design sessions and other meetingsDevelop PaaS solutions for hybrid deployments and secure multi-tenant GPU sharing solutions in a the Kubernetes environments.You bring enthusiasm, the ability to work well with people from different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience, and meet the following qualifications:BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience with 8+ years in software development, system engineering or related field. 6+ years of experience with Master's degree.Must have an active Top Secret/SCI security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearancePossess at least one DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II or higher certification, e.g., CCNA Security, CySA+, Security+ CE, SSCP, CISSP (or Associate)Ability to obtain Privileged User Account (PUA) certification per DoD 8570 policyExperienced with container/container orchestration, specifically Kubernetes and troubleshooting experience with:Ingress/Gateway APIMulti-tenant GPU sharingHelm chart design/buildPod disruption budgetsAffinity/anti-affinity rulesFamiliarity with external-secrets, ArgoCD, cert-manager, eck (elastic search)GitLab pipeline development experience including:Integration of GitLab CI/CD componentsIntegration of GitLab Code Quality reportsIntegration of GitLab Code Coverage/Test reportsKnowledgeable in navigating Linux OS, specifically:Knowledgeable about sysctls for K8s environmentsFApolicyd and SELinux experienceComfortable with Elastic Search, Logstash, KibanaDemonstrated ability to participate in cross-functional planning, coordination, and task executionYou will wow us even more if you have some of these:Experience with systems at scaleExperience/knowledge of key Agile processes and techniquesExperience with development, i.e. Bash, PowerShell, SALT, Python, Groovy, Java, etc.Experience on a production/ enterprise systemExperience with any of the following technologies:Kafka or other message passing systems (AMQP, JMS)Kubernetes monitoring, e.g., Prometheus/ Grafana, Open TelemetrySALT for deployment automationNexus
