Utility Project ManagerRowan Digital Infrastructure is looking for a Utility Project Manager to support the project lifecycle for reliable and cost-effective infrastructure for our growing portfolio of data center locations. As the Senior Infrastructure Projects Associate, you'll support the delivery of Rowan's power and water infrastructure solutions by working with leading utilities partners to deliver critical projects on time and on budget to meet Rowan's capacity and reliability requirements, and partner with customers to meet Rowan's sustainability objectives.The successful candidate will be a self-starter with experience managing multiple large-scale technical infrastructure and interconnection projects, possess a strong project management background, and a passion for carbon free energy and sustainability. In this role, you will work directly with utilities, customers, and project partners during the engineering, procurement, and construction phases of a project. Internally, you will partner closely with site development, engineering, construction, and operations team to drive successful project delivery and in-service dates. To succeed, candidates need to understand the technical nature of this work, effectively manage a critical path schedule, reliably deliver in constrained and ambiguous environments, and tactfully escalate and report to organizational leaders and partners.Travel: Ability to travel up to (30%) for company gatherings, utility meetings and project site visits.Location: Denver, CO or Seattle, WA (hybrid in-office role)Compensation: $110K - $130K (Offers Bonus)Essential ResponsibilitiesExecute project implementation for a rapidly growing portfolio of water conveyance and wastewater infrastructure projects (raw water intake, transmission pipelines, pump stations, storage tanks and distribution networks, wastewater collection and treatment, effluent discharge and water reuse/reclaim systems) serving hyperscale data center sitesManage multiple water/wastewater utilities, water districts, and specialty contractors to deliver conveyance and treatment infrastructure from project agreement through permitting, construction, commissioning, in-service, and handoff to operationsReview and validate hydraulic modeling, pipeline and pump station sizing, and treatment system design prepared by engineering consultants; evaluate cooling system water demand (evaporative cooling towers, adiabatic systems, liquid cooling loops) against site water supply and wastewater discharge capacityDevelop and execute creative bridging solutions with water/wastewater utility partners, municipalities, and contractors for last-mile water conveyance and wastewater distribution projectsCoordinate communication and deliverables between water/wastewater utility partners, environmental and regulatory agencies, and internal stakeholdersEducation, Skills, and ExperienceBachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Water Resources Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field, or at least five (5) years of experience in project management in the data center, water, or wastewater industryAt least three (3) years of technical water conveyance and/or wastewater infrastructure project experience (5 years preferred)Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) (preferred)Technical expertise in water conveyance and wastewater systems, including hydraulics, pipeline and pump station sizing, storage/tankage, treatment processes, and effluent discharge/reuse systems, across planning, engineering, construction, and operations Working knowledge of US water systems (Preferred)Working knowledge of water rights, water/wastewater utility service agreements, and discharge permitting frameworks (Preferred)Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and MS ProjectExperience managing multiple projects simultaneously, excellent communication and collaboration skills, strong organizational skills, comfort with ambiguity, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and highly cross-functional environmentFueled by Excellence & CollaborationAt Rowan, we are a distributed team united by a common mission to transform data center delivery.
