About Us The North American Transmission Forum (NATF) advances excellence in the reliability, security, safety, and resilience of the electric transmission system. Members include investor-owned, state-authorized, municipal, cooperative, U.S. federal, and Canadian provincial utilities.The NATF is founded on the belief that open, candid exchange among members is essential to strengthening transmission system performance across the United States and Canada. A high volume of applicants is expected for the role as detailed below, do not wait to send your CV.About the RoleThe program manager leads one or more practices program areas related to transmission system operations and design. The program manager also leadsand supports several peer review projects each year. The program manager works closely with other members of NATF staff, volunteer subject matter experts, and member hosts to coordinate engagements, prepare participants for success, and facilitate on-site activities.The program manager works both independently and collaboratively, exercising sound judgment within established objectives and policies. This role translates organizational goals into tactical program plans, priorities, and actions that support effective execution and continuous improvement.Position Description and Major DutiesLeadership• Collaborate with NATF staff to shape the strategic direction of the organization in alignment with the NATF's vision, mission, and goals• Actively seek input from NATF staff and leadership on assigned programs and processes; identify and implement process improvementsPractice area coordination• Cultivate strong relationships with subject-matter experts in assigned areas; encourage participation to leverage expertise from across the membership• Organize and facilitate projects to develop technical and process guidance to support member processes in the assigned area• Interact with member leadership, the NATF CEO, COO, staff, and others to identify emerging issues and adjust activities accordingly• Communicate program area initiatives and achievements to different audiencesPeer Review Planning and Organization• Coordinate with peer review hosts to define topics and support preparation for the engagement• Recruit volunteer subject matter experts and assign them to peer teams• Schedule and facilitate preparation meetings for hosts and peer teams prior to on-site engagements• Lead the on-site portion of engagements, including delivering the opening presentation, managing final reports, and preparing the exit presentationProgram Development and Reporting• Maintain and improve program processes• Design and implement quality diagnostics and analytics to support program effectiveness• Partner with stakeholders to develop and share data, insights, conclusions, and recommendations derived from peer review observationsGeneral• Develop and deliver selected training for staff and members• Provide input on organizational strategy, program integration, and the development xhyhwjd and refinement of work plans across program areas• Support the CEO and COO in developing corporate policies, processes, and related documents• Follow corporate policies and procedures• Perform other duties as assignedKey behaviors and expectations• Be an influential leader (staff is not directive, but our influence helps members advance)• Excellence starts at home (to help members excel, staff need to walk the talk)• Stay focused on the mission and vision (prioritize action accordingly)• Be personally accountable (honor commitments, be resourceful, offer solutions)• Be a good teammate (place team performance above self)• Treat each member employee as a highly valued customer• Remain aware of assigned members' engagement and issues affecting their organizations• Help overcome barriers to additional engagement; escalate problems as neededTravel• This position requires travel for portions of seven to eight weeks annuallyNo recruiters please.
