Role Overview :

Based in Lake Forest and reporting to the Site FD, the role has responsibility for controllership, process development, financial reporting and audit of the CCI SoCal site. CCI SoCal is a $200m business, manufacturing and supplying critical valves and components to global customers.

Work Environment : Hybrid - Lake Forest, CA

Supervisory Responsibility

Direct responsibility for a team of 8 finance professionals and temporary staff, focused on Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable. Inventory, Payroll, and Financial Controls.

Indirect responsibility for a team of up to 10 staff supporting the site, based from a shared services facility in Bangalore, India. The team is focused on transaction processing, intercompany.

Key Responsibilities :

Timely and accurate reporting of financial performance for the business

Develop and implement critical, standardized performance measures to improve the financial performance of the site

Lead Operations forecasting processes for shipments, expenses, inventory & CapEx

Support the project management process, ensuring that project Management has up to date project costs and a comprehensive forecast of costs to complete on all projects

Partner with Operations leaders to implement Working Capital efficiency improvement programs

Analyze, manage, and optimize cash flow and performance

Responsibility for preparing audited financial information for statutory and group consolidation accounting purposes

Develop and oversee accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, including revenue recognition in accordance with INCOTERMS

Prepare capital expenditure business cases for long term asset investments, including calculation of rates of return on investment and payback periods

Manage taxation activity of the site with the support of Group tax professionals

Management of US payroll and associated tax and benefits

Manage collections teams to ensure past due accounts are minimized

Understand and analyze site manufacturing costs and manufacturing staff utilization

Implement a high standard of financial controls

Act as a trusted business partner to the regional Leadership Team

Operate in an open manner and ensure ongoing development and training of staff

Promote a culture of opportunity, achievement, responsibility and personal development within the team

Critical Competencies for Success :

Experience in project- based, highly engineered custom product manufacturing businesses a must (i.e., sales process tied to new construction builds, product upgrades tied to plant outages)

Extensive knowledge of GAAP and IFRS

10-15 years’ experience in financial management and team leadership roles. Experience within large multi-national, industrial/manufacturing business is an advantage

Experience in cost accounting and implementing a strong financial control environment

Bachelor in Management, Business or Finance; MBA or CPA

Six Sigma or process excellence background is a plus

Pay range : $150,000 - 180,000

Within this range, individual pay is determined based on skills, experience, and qualifications relative to the job requirements. Base pay information is aligned with market location and may be subject to prevailing wage laws, if applicable.

Bonus eligibility : This position is also eligible for a variable incentive pay component, separate from base salary.
