Full Stack Developer

Full Stack Developer Position: Full Stack Developer roles Location: Austin, TX or Warren, MI. On-site work is required 4-5 days per week.

Duration: 24 month long contract, can be extended. Rate: $55 to 58/hr on C2C.

Client: General Motors // Apex Systems (sub-vending is allowed). Visa Constraints: None.

We are wanting candidates who are strongest in React.JS then Spring Boot and then some Mainframe. Candidates will need to pass an Apex tech screen on React.JS and Spring Boot at Sr. Level and also need to have some experience in z/OS. Role Overview In modern mainframe development, developers use frontend libraries like React to build user-friendly web applications that pull, modify, or process data stored on an IBM z/OS operating system. This role focuses on connecting these front-end applications to mainframe assets through established API gateways.

Key Responsibilities Develop user-friendly web applications using frontend libraries like React.

Process and modify data stored on an IBM z/OS operating system.

Utilize IBM z/OS Connect as an API gateway to transform mainframe assets (like CICS, IMS, or Db2 programs) into standard RESTful APIs.

Make standard fetch or axios calls from the React frontend to API endpoints without needing to understand mainframe-specific languages.

Required Qualifications Technical Skills: Experience with React, IBM z/OS, IBM z/OS Connect, and creating RESTful APIs is required for this role.
