Maintenance Technician

Candlewood Suites - Shelbyville is seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team in Shelbyville, KY. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the overall functionality and safety of our property, ensuring a clean and safe environment for guests and staff alike. You will perform routine maintenance tasks, troubleshoot issues, and handle repairs efficiently to support the smooth operation of the hotel.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders from management and staff.
• Diagnose problems, perform repairs, and ensure timely completion of work.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory of supplies necessary for maintenance tasks.
• Comply with safety policies and procedures to provide a safe work environment.
• Coordinate with external vendors or contractors as needed for specialized repairs or services.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and report any recurring issues to management.

Requirements

• Previous experience in maintenance or a related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building repairs.
• Basic understanding of safety practices and regulations within a hospitality environment.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems efficiently.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
