Data Governance / Data Quality Engineer

This role will work closely with Data Strategy, Business, and Data Engineering teams to ensure high-quality, governed, and trusted data across key domains such as Reference data, Market data and Operational data. Role Objectives Support enterprise data governance and data quality initiatives across critical data domains Implement and enhance Collibra-based governance and DQ capabilities Ensure data quality, lineage, and metadata management are embedded into the data platform Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, governed data solutions Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain data quality rules using Collibra DQ Implement and manage data governance assets (business glossary, data catalog, stewardship workflows) Support data lineage mapping across systems and pipelines Perform data profiling, validation, and issue analysis using SQL Integrate Collibra with Azure data platform (ADF, Databricks, Data Lake) Develop automation and utilities using Python or similar languages Collaborate with Data Owners and Engineers to define and enforce DQ controls Ensure code promotion using CI/CD, version control (Git), and deployment best practices Maintain documentation and governance artifacts in tools like Confluence and repositories Required Qualifications 6+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Quality, or Data Engineering Hands-on experience with: Collibra Data Governance Collibra Data Quality (CDQ) Collibra DIP (Data Intelligence Platform) Hands-on experience on Power BI or DQ reporting dashboards Strong SQL skills (complex querying, data validation, reconciliation) Experience with data quality frameworks, implementation of DQ rules and governance workflows Experience with data lineage concepts and metadata management Proficiency in Python (or similar programming language) Understanding of ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration Experience with CI/CD, Git, and DevOps practices Preferred Qualifications Experience with: Databricks / Lakehouse architecture Azure Data Services (ADF, ADLS Gen2, Azure SQL) Experience integrating Collibra with enterprise data platforms Experience in financial services / market data domain (securities, pricing, risk data) Additional Requirements Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work in a cross-functional and global team environment Strong communication and documentation skills Ability to translate business data requirements into technical solutions Work Location Charlotte. Hybrid - Must come to Office for 2 days.
