Senior Java Developer
Location: Alpharetta, GA (Hybrid - 3 days onsite/week)
Duration: 12 months contract (Potential to convert)
Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Java Developer with 10-15 years of experience building enterprise-grade, server-side applications. The role involves hands-on development of Java APIs within a service-oriented architecture, collaborating with global teams, and supporting large-scale web applications that supply data to eTrade.com.
Must Have Skills:
Strong hands-on Java (J2EE) experience with multithreading
Spring / Spring Boot and MVC frameworks
API and RESTful web services development
Agile/Scrum experience in global teams
Web application development experience
Strong communication and enterprise-level collaboration skills
Nice to Have: Financial services domain experience
DB2 / IBM UDB, IBM MQ
GIT, TeamCity
Application servers: Tomcat, WebSphere
Unix/Linux environment
Frontend exposure: JavaScript, Angular, React, HTML5
Strong design skills (Design Patterns, GOF)
Soft Skills: Excellent communication and articulation
Ability to mentor junior developers
Collaborative, proactive, and innovation-driven
