Software Engineer

Job Description

Software EngineerMarkon is seeking a Software Engineer to support the development and sustainment of mission-critical software systems for the Fort Meade Customer. The Software Engineer will design, develop, integrate, and maintain high-performance applications using C++ and Python, working closely with systems engineers and operations teams to deliver reliable and secure solutions.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test, and maintain software applications using C++ and Python.Support integration of software components within larger system architectures.Participate in requirements analysis, design reviews, and technical evaluations.Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and performance issues.Contribute to software documentation, including design artifacts and technical reports.Collaborate with systems engineering, operations, and mission stakeholders.Support software configuration management and version control processes.Apply secure coding practices and support compliance with security standards.QualificationsTS/SCI w/ active Polygraph with this CustomerBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field plus 14 years of relevant experience.Strong experience developing software in C++ and Python.Experience with object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms.Familiarity with Linux-based development environments.Experience supporting software development in mission-critical or production environments.Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.Salary RangeUSD $200,000.00 - USD $230,000.00 /Yr. The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
