Application Security Analyst

Must-Have Skills / Prior Experience

Hands-on experience with API security testing and vulnerability management.

Strong knowledge of DAST tools (e.g., Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP).

Experience with container security (Docker, Kubernetes, image scanning tools such as Anchore or Trivy).

Proven experience managing security intake processes and coordinating across multiple development teams.

Solid understanding of secure coding practices, OWASP Top 10, and API-specific security risks.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and quickly adapt.

Nice-to-Have Skills / Prior Experience

Experience integrating security tools into CI/CD pipelines.

Knowledge of cloud-native security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and API gateways.

Familiarity with threat modeling and risk assessment methodologies.

Exposure to DevSecOps practices and security automation.

Relevant certifications such as CISSP, GWAPT, or API Security Specialist.
