How This Role Lives Our Core Principles

• We Protect — Champion model and shop drawing accuracy that gets ahead of problems — protecting crews, schedule, and budget.
• We Empower — Train and mentor teams company-wide on VDC, BIM, and CAD tools so every level of the organization uses data with confidence.
• We Have Grit — Own tough process and delivery challenges end-to-end, without cutting corners.
• We Care — Treat VDC as a service to project teams and clients — clear, proactive communication over technical jargon.
• We Have Humility — Bring outside VDC expertise to Suntec without ego; learn our self-perform process and build the playbook as a true partner to the field.

• Proven track record of building, implementing, or scaling a VDC/BIM/CAD program at another construction company or specialty contractor — required. Must be able to speak to specific projects, the process put in place, and the measurable results.
• Demonstrated experience owning a department P&L, budget, and resource allocation.
• Minimum 5–7 years of progressive VDC/BIM experience in commercial construction.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, CM Builder, and Tekla.
• Strong understanding of concrete/structural self-perform construction methods, CAD-based shop drawing production, and sequencing.
• Excellent communication skills across all levels, from field crews to executive leadership and design partners.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality, and flexibility in an ever-changing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with tilt-up, structural concrete, or heavy civil VDC coordination.

Summary

Suntec Concrete is seeking an experienced VDC Manager to lead the Virtual Design, BIM, and CAD Department for the entire company, with full P&L ownership and accountability for the department's budget, staffing, and performance. This role leads the VDC/BIM/CAD team and drives the implementation of incremental process improvements company-wide — improving CAD and model-based shop drawing accuracy, shortening delivery timeframes, strengthening budget performance, and developing the team's capabilities. Strong communication skills are essential, as this role interacts with staff at every level — from the field to executive leadership — in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

This is a leadership role, not an entry point into VDC. Candidates must bring a proven track record of having built, implemented, or scaled a VDC/BIM/CAD program at another construction company or specialty contractor, with results they can speak to directly.
