Mainframe Assembler Location: Alpharetta, GA/Omaha, NE (Locals Only)

Relevant Experience: 12+ Years

Roles and Responsibilities:

Senior mainframe assembler with good hands-on project development using mainframe technologies: Cobol, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS and Assembler.

Assembler and CICS knowledge are mandatory.

Well versed with ISPF command utilities, IOF, CA7, Endevor, File-Aid/File-master, SPUFI, REXX.

Exposure to incident/change management request tools.

Exposure to any of the debugging tools for both batch and online environment (e.g., Xpeditor, Abend Aid).

Working on scrum model/Jira handling.

Experience in doing impact analysis, design document creation, change release, deployment, monitoring and estimation.

Complete understanding of SDLC understanding.

Willing to get involved in peak season monitoring, weekend support, release monitoring and production support.

Strong knowledge in developing and implementing online issuer authorization applications, payment processing.

Lead developer in associates and issuer mandates and enhancements.

Should involve in code reviews, testing and implementing the projects and perform post implementation validation.
