The Full-Stack Developer is responsible for developing and maintaining customer-centric websites and applications that provide an exceptional customer experience. The developer will be proficient at managing multiple projects simultaneously and effectively prioritizing and multi-tasking between immediate priorities and long-term objectives. Primary responsibilities include maintaining and improving functional aspects of the company's websites and digital applications, including front-end applications, back-end integrations, database design and optimization, XML feeds and more.Duties & Responsibilities:Contribute to the design, development and maintenance of front-end solutions, back-end services, and databases powering multiple customer-facing websites and applicationsConsistently create well-designed, tested, quality code using best practicesContribute to continual improvement by suggesting enhancements for functionality, architecture and user experienceCommunicate with project teams to update on progress/statusDeliver solutions in a timely mannerProvide support and troubleshooting assistance for websites and apps developed by the teamSet & follow corporate standards for development practicesWork cohesively with other team members, both technical and non-technicalOther duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree or equivalent industry experience (7+ years with high school diploma) required3+ years of full-stack development in a PHP / LAMP environment (back-end, front-end and some server management) required3+ years experience with database development using MySQL or similar required1+ years experience developing with Vue.js or other front-end framework (Angular, React, etc.) requiredExcellent front-end skills, including HTML, CSS preprocessors and modern JavaScript requiredExpertise in source control, code review and repository management with git or similar requiredStrong understanding of RESTful APIs requiredExperience developing native/hybrid mobile applications preferredLaravel experience preferredXML experience preferredGood analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to function well in a self-directed, team-oriented environmentComfortable managing multiple tasks and prioritizing effectivelyExcellent written and verbal communication skillsHighland offers a competitive benefit package, including excellent medical / dental / prescription benefits, Employee Stock Option Plan, 401(k), new home purchase discounts, & more – all in a business casual atmosphere!
