Our scientists and engineers tackle some of the world's hardest problems every day to pioneer radical approaches to groundbreaking advanced technology concepts.As a Senior software engineer, you will contribute to the full development lifecycle, including requirements generation, software design, implementation, integration, and flight test. You'll develop next generation Avionics services, safety critical OFP software and integrate flight critical hardware subsystems. Participate in end-to-end integration activities including a multitude of host systems, such as live assets of varying capability and structure, simulated systems, and laboratory environments with constructive simulations, physical hardware, and system simulations. Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software. Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. Ensures software standards are met.Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree or above from an accredited college in a relevant field of study; or equivalent with minimum 5 years experienceExperience with C and/or C++Experience with Linux or RTOS (real time operating systems) and associated development toolchainsExperience with the software development process in a team environment (peer reviews, unit testing, configuration management, defect tracking)Experience mentoring and training junior engineers or a lead position/senior engineerMust be a US Citizen.
