This role will be reporting to the Supervisor of Accounts Payable and collaborate within a dynamic, team oriented environment. This role ensures that all accounts payable data is entered and processed in a timely and accurate manner for our US and Canada operations. You will be focused on resolving exceptions including any discrepancies in the accounts payable invoice exceptions process including working with our internal partners to resolve issues to avoid late payments. You will also support reporting as requested and assist with the monthly AP close. Core Responsibilities: Analyze and process vendor invoices while ensuring that the Chart of Authority for approvals are maintained. Execute 3-way, 2-way or non-PO standard process for invoice processing. Validate vendor accounts balances by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions. Perform spend/cash analysis as required. Ensure adequate and continuous controls are executed for all assigned activities. Review all invoices and identify taxable charges, assess proper Use Tax, if applicable Support documentation gathering for tax audits as needed Prepare analysis of accounts and statements, reconcile payments, and ensure payments are up to date Respond to vendor inquiries Research invoice discrepancies and correspond directly with vendors and purchasing team members to request necessary documentation Complete steps to request new or modify existing Vendor Address Book records Assist with sorting and distribution of daily incoming vendor invoices and mail Assist in maintaining procedural documents, i.e., Standard Operating Procedures, etc. Establishes and maintains productive cross functional business relationships. Maintains the professional competence, knowledge and skills necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities. Respond to Accounts Payable inquiries and escalate as needed. Identify Challenges and potential solutions to common issues. Support Special projects as assigned. Additional processes include: process manual payments, GRIR resolution, Internal & External Audit Support, Close processes. Other duties as assigned. Qualified candidates will have: Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or three years related AP experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficient mathematical/analytical skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office with intermediate Excel, preferred. Have a strong sense of urgency Experience in SAP, Ariba, Esker and Excel Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy with excellent time management and problem solving skills Strong Communication skills and a team player Global Shared Services environment experience is a plus Proficient with resolving Invoice Exceptions Relocation Available? Final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are limited to responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data and applicable bargaining agreement (if any). Incentive Compensation: As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Ingredion Annual Incentive Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus.
