Work side by side with some of the most talented Database Engineers in the industry where the Engineers work in a dynamic database environment on multiple database platforms.Essential Responsibilities: A Senior Oracle Database Engineer will support database operations in both production and pre-production environments, reporting to the Senior Manager, Infrastructure Services – Databases. The role requires work to be done on forward looking projects, initiatives, and support.The candidate will be a Subject Matter Expert in designing, engineering, and delivering database solutions leveraging the industry best practices (availability, scalability, performance, back-ups, and disaster recovery) and providing support for database infrastructure.Must Haves:BS in Computer Science/Engineering (or equivalent) with minimum 4 years of database administration experienceSolid troubleshooting and incident management skillsAbility to work under pressure and deliver to deadlinesPractice and deliver with Industry Best Practices for all database infrastructureExcellent communication skillsExperience with performance tuning, query tuning, troubleshooting, and driving problem resolution working in a team environmentSolid understanding of physical and logical database designUnderstanding of middleware technologies as it relates to database connectivityMinimum of 4 years of hands-on experience with Oracle 12c through 19c.Experience with implementing mission critical Oracle OLTP and DSS databases.Solid experience in managing multi-terabyte Data Warehouse databases, understanding of ETL (Extract Transform Load), Business Intelligence, Data Partitioning and Lifecycle management.Min. 4 years of hands-on experience with Oracle databases with adequate skills on Oracle RAC (Real Application Clusters), ASM, Data Guard, back-ups, high-availability, scalability, disaster recovery.Deep understanding of networking and storage technologies related to databasesHands-on Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux administration and troubleshootingExperience working with SOX/GLBA/PCI regulated financial organizations is a plus.Experience using Oracle Golden Gate is a plus.Virtualization of Databases using VMWare hypervisorsHigh level understanding of core IT (Information Technology) Infrastructure and their architecture (Storage, networking, operating Systems, etc.)Oracle RMAN Backup experience, Database Cloning and SAN Snap Recovery is required.Oracle OEM/Grid InfrastructureShell Scripting (ksh/bash)Nice to Haves:Experience working with MS SQL Server 2012 through 2019Experience with Attunity Replicate is a plus.
