Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Maintenance TechnicianThe Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving building systems, equipment, and facilities to ensure a safe, functional, and comfortable environment for guests, residents, customers, and employees. This position performs preventative maintenance and responds to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on building systems, equipment, and facilities.Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, and general maintenance issues.Complete preventative maintenance programs according to established schedules.Respond promptly to work orders, service requests, and emergency maintenance situations.Inspect facilities for safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, and maintenance needs.Repair and maintain doors, locks, fixtures, furniture, appliances, walls, flooring, and other property assets.Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.Operate and maintain tools, equipment, and machinery safely and efficiently.Coordinate with vendors and contractors when necessary.Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and applicable regulations.Assist with property renovations, special projects, and event support as assigned.Maintain a clean and organized workshop and storage areas.Equal Employment Opportunity StatementWe are an Equal Employment Opportunity employer and consider all qualified applicants without regard to any legally protected status.RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Technical certification, trade school training, or related experience preferred.Minimum 1–2 years of maintenance, facilities, engineering, or related experience preferred.Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and mechanical systems.Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and work orders.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergency call-outs if required.ScheduleFlexible schedule required. Must be available to work weekends, holidays, mornings, evenings, and overtime as needed based on hotel occupancy, staffing needs, and business levels.
