Mid-Level Production Control Analyst

Job Description

Job TitleThis role is at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, supporting Spirit's Commercial Business Units ("Spirit Commercial"). Spirit Commercial designs and builds commercial aerostructures, including for Boeing Commercial Airplanes, one of Boeing's three business units and the premier manufacturer of commercial jetliners for decades. Spirit Commercial's core products include fuselages, pylons, nacelles and wing components, with a focus on innovative composite and aluminium manufacturing solutions.Key AccountabilitiesAnalyzes methods, facilities, and equipment to ensure optimum use of resourcesEvaluates and analyzes capability and capacity plans, processes, and products; recommends improvements; and implements approved changesAnalyzes the impact of process and production changes on budget projections and develops and applies labor standards to production ordersCoordinates, analyzes and presents performance data to manufacturing management for resource allocation decisionsOversees and directs the implementation of current and proposed manufacturing processes and productsAssists in the layout of factory shop floors; ensures the accuracy of budget and performance status dataInterfaces with manufacturing management and the tooling organization to ensure resource availabilityRepresents the organization in cross-functional teamsEnsures that implemented process enhancements meet improvement targetsImplements manufacturing process improvementsDevelops shop schedules and capacity plans for work centers, machines, and toolsWorks according to established guidelines, exercising broad latitude in determining technical solutions with some guidance from more experienced analystsApplies technical principles, theories, and concepts frequentlyBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)5+ years of Manufacturing experienceExperience with shop floor planning, including build plan and sequenced manufacturing schedulesProficient in using MRP systems and managing project tasks independently across multiple workflowsSkilled in facilitating meetings and presenting data clearly to various stakeholdersPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field preferredAerospace or production control experience strongly preferredProficient in SAP and other systems; tech-savvy with strong skills in Microsoft suiteExperience developing labor hour and overtime plansDrug Free Workplace:We are a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.Pay & Benefits:We strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage and retain the top talent.
