Database Engineer & Oracle database

Database Engineer for Migration of Oracle Replication from Streams to Goldengate Our availability architecture is based on database state replication across different data centers. For Oracle, we use Streams technology extensively. We are looking for engineers who are proficient with the following:

Oracle Streams based replication

Oracle Goldengate based replication

DevOps experience with Python and Ansible/Tower Playbook Knowledge

Oracle Database Performance Engineer with Golden Gate & Python Scripting Experience

Lead/senior solutions architect type of resource who would be doing hands-on development. 8+ years of IT experience Strong background in Scala programming. Strong Spark/Scala expertise – deep understanding of Spark architecture. Experience with Hadoop – deep understanding of internals of Hadoop, Hive, Oozie, MapReduce, Sqoop. Should be proficient in writing Advanced SQLs and expertise in performance tuning of SQLs / Hive queries. Kafka experience is a plus. Hands-on experience with RESTful Web Services and Spring Framework. Good understanding of object oriented and micro services design. Working knowledge of NoSQL databases, particularly Cassandra. Work closely with Product teams to understand data and analysis requirements. Translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions with data quality controls. Benchmark application performance periodically and fix performance issues, understanding of Hadoop platform capabilities and limitations. Should have strong verbal & written communication skills. Experience in developing automated test scripts to help with regression testing sharp troubleshooting skills to identify and fix issues quickly. Server Side Java Engineer with following skill set. Data replication using Kafka In depth on Kafka architecture and various features and uses Understanding of data replication from RDBMS to NoSQL technologies (Kafka, MongoDB, Elastic Search, CouchBase) In depth on Java back end and Multi Threading JSON and AVRO Message Formats Expertise in designing new solutions around data replication

Oracle Database Performance Engineer with Golden Gate Experience. This position is for hard core DBA who understand Oracle DB very well. He has to be hands on tuning the Oracle DB, SQL, PL/SQL and Operating Systems. Following are the core skill sets.

Good grasp of OS fundamentals

ASH, AWR, 10046, 10053 based Tuning expertise
