Sr. Java Fullstack Developer-Angular/Banking

Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for aSr. Java Fullstack Developer-Angular/Bankingto join a collaborative Agile delivery pod supporting a large-scale platform modernization initiative. You will contribute to the development, testing, documentation, and support of backend or full-stack solutions that enable secure data sharing, real-time events, customer consent, and digital experiences.

Pay rate range (CAD): $59.48/hr – $79.66/hr

Responsibilities Participate in Agile ceremonies, including stand-ups, sprint planning, demonstrations, and retrospectives.

Develop, test, and support Java code or configuration changes in accordance with established SDLC and quality standards.

Deliver scoped features, enhancements, and automation aligned with platform priorities.

Collaborate with engineers, business systems analysts, quality engineering, and product partners to deliver backlog items from development through implementation.

Create and maintain technical and operational documentation, including architecture notes, runbooks, onboarding materials, and API documentation.

Improve platform quality and reliability through testing, automation, monitoring, and technical debt reduction.

Investigate and resolve development or production issues while maintaining attention to performance, stability, and maintainability.

Contribute to delivery timelines by producing high-quality work and meeting agreed-upon milestones.

Participate in knowledge transfer and onboarding activities to support effective integration with existing applications and processes.

Desired Skill-Set 5 or more years of experience developing with Java.

5 or more years of backend or full-stack development experience.

Experience working with Jira and Confluence.

Practical experience working in an Agile delivery environment.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills.

Self-motivated, well organized, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Strong attention to detail, adaptability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Nice to Have Experience with Angular.

Experience with NoSQL or Cosmos DB.

Experience within banking or financial services.

Exposure to enterprise-scale platform modernization initiatives.
