Senior Data Architect & Analytics Leader (Finance)

Job Description

Key Responsibilities and Duties

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into achievable scopes and utilizing low code/no code tools to create and optimize time-to-market solutions.

Domain expertise in Client Services and Client reporting data for Asset Management

Build and manage end to end data analysis for data domains for prioritized use cases.

Conduct business process analysis and root cause analysis to inform and create strategic business data architecture.

Explore data in various systems built on various technology (i.e., SQL, big data and cloud) in order to conclude analysis and drive action with sense of urgency.

Build Business Intelligence Dashboards and Power Point slides to drive informed decision making.

Design and maintain logical data models (i.e., system agnostic models), ensuring alignment with business goals, values and outcomes. Ensure adoption of data governance standards.

Provide requirements and govern the implementation of scalable and innovative data products.

Recommend strategic and standardized solutions leveraging strategic platforms such as Nuveen Lakehouse, Security Master, Party Master, Account/Product Master etc.

Partner with business, data and technology teams to document business rules, data quality requirements for the Nuveen Lakehouse

Properly manage stakeholders’ expectations. Create and maintain transparency on prioritization, scope.

Influence business and operational process changes to remediate data issues and prevent issues from recurring.

Develop interactive and visually appealing data visualizations to present key business insights and metrics for the prioritized use cases.

Required Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in Financial Service industry

5+ years of experience in analyzing data business requirements, working with large data sets, developing and implementing solutions.

5+ years of experience with data visualization (PowerBI, Tableau, or equivalent tools)

5+ years of experience with SQL.

Experience in reference data management

Experience with Alteryx

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in Data Domain Knowledge within client reporting

Experience in collaborating with diverse stakeholders across departments.

Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Ability to drive innovation and lead a team in a dynamic environment.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, math, statistics or related field

10+ years of experience in data and technology

Familiarity with cloud infrastructure.

In-depth knowledge of data governance, data quality, and data integration.

Programing languages: SQL must, Python, SAS preferred.

Anticipated Posting End Date:

Base Pay Range: $112,000/yr. - $160,400/yr.

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
